The installation was first called Natick Soldier Systems Command, and it was founded in 1994. Today, NSSC supports both service members and a large civilian workforce working on soldier equipment and performance technologies. Many of the personnel at NSSC are scientists, engineers, and technical specialists.

Natick Soldier Systems Center is located 18 miles west of Boston in Natick, MA. Natick is a suburban town in Middlesex County. The area has historic charm with suburban amenities, and it’s a popular choice for both commuters and families.
