Warren AFB is known as the “Guardians of the High Frontier.” It’s home to the 90th Missile Wing, the largest, most modern strategic missile facility in the United States. The 90th answers to the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) located at Offutt AFB and the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) at Barksdale AFB. With 50 Peacekeeper Missiles and 150 Minuteman III Missiles, the base has launch facilities in Southeast Wyoming, Western Nebraska, and Northern Colorado, making it a vital part of United States strategic defense capabilities.
