The new windows photos of the upper level were taken this January as well as the large living room window with 3 lite slider, temper glass, Flat is 90” W x 56” H, with motorized shades operated by 3 remote control gadgets. All current replacement windows (except for the garage) are covered with a Lifetime Limited Warranty with Transferability Provisions.
The 4 each bedroom floors as well as the main hallway carpets were removed and then they were covered by Blue Ridge ¾” hardwood flooring (sculptured Hickory with knots & color variation which are lovely).
Continue walking with me. We just have begun! The kitchen (with all new Samsung Stainless Steel appliances) begins to shine. Corian (no cut, no seams) countertop, Spanish look ceramic tiles and the ceiling fully illuminated. It was always remarkably appealing to us. We hope you will enjoy it also.
A large 11.5’ x 17.8’ family room (with the HVAC indoor unit room, a pantry (along with circuit breaker box) room); a built-in wooden desk with wall shelves (your private study area) and a modern wi-fi propane fireplace which can be operated on & off from your place of duty with your smartphone.
One and one-half car garage with automatic door opener with control unit and remotes. A workshop bench is in place. Above this garage you will find the first of four storage areas we have to offer. (Review photos)
The Laundry room (adjacent to the bathroom) has received a new Rheem smart water heater with 50-gallon capacity (which also can be controlled by your smartphone). Furthermore, you can find a Maytag washer and dryer on a floor cover with the same style of ceramic Spanish tile which you will also find on the floors of the bathroom, hallway, and kitchen.
Finally, from the kitchen we go through the dining room sliding door to visit the multi-level deck with covered porch (14’ x 12’). On it we find 4 chairs and one iron table (6’ x 3’) with regular 16”x4” ceramic tiles on the table…very comfortable! (they go with the house). Below this covered porch, you will find another storage area for a lawn tractor or mower. In the same area is a locked door entrance to the encapsulated crawl space with a dehumidifier of max capacity of 2300 sq ft which can maintain a clean warm environment saving energy and money.
Getting out of the crawl space to the backyard you will observe an insulated Red Barn (16’x8’) ready for a woodworking shop with electrical light & outlets & H2O close by from one handmade clever manual sprinkle system temporary installment by Teresa to help with keeping green wild grass and violets growing sporadically on the rolling back fenced yard with tall pines (we personally planted 4 July 1988 in the middle of a hot,hot day and two huge maple like trees.
Our biggest yard improvement was to resolve standing water caused by the adjacent neighbors’ water runoff from their yards. The solution was a “French Drain” system of 36” deep by 24” wide covered by 5.5 pallets of VA green rocks spread along the winding drainage of 64 feet in width. The VA green rocks match other walking trails in the back yard making for a pleasing backyard design.
According to 3 of our neighbors who visited us during this arduous project, they said, “you guys have the best view of all our surroundings ( including the back forest to the left side of our property).
