No matter how many times we make a PCS move with the military, it never goes perfectly. Sure, we learn new tips and tricks with each move we make but there is always room for more knowledge when it comes to military moves!

Stay flexible! Moving is a big change for your family and being open to making adjustments will help you have a smoother PCS. As military families, we know better than anyone what it’s like to have unexpected changes and mishaps occur at anytime. These mishaps are frustrating, but getting upset over them can add stress on the whole family. Flexibility allows us to seize unexpected opportunities and learn something new! Stay flexible and expect the unexpected for your next PCS.

Stay organized! Messy moves are a recipe for disaster and will only add to your stress! You can stay organized by keeping all your essential documents in a PCS Binder that way you will have everything in one place when completing your paperwork. Another way to stay organized is to label all your boxes with a list of the contents inside. Organization will help you finish required paperwork and settle into your new home with ease.
