This is the old Poindexter house, completed ca. 1913, Poindexter Place displays a unique and beautiful blend of Victorian and Craftsman style and is listed as being of contributing significance to the Historic District.
Well maintained, partially furnished with high quality pieces, carefully restored and remodeled: boasting a fabulous kitchen with a new refrigerator that is open into a generously sized, family-dining area.
The rooms to the kitchen are separated by a large island with mahogany cabinets and a culinary blend of stainless-steel appliances: Gas stove, convection oven & hood, refrigerator and Bosch dishwasher and built-in microwave.
A handsome, full double-sink with a 9", curved bib ("farm sink") stands out prominently. Stove area is wrapped by a built-in cabinet island that straddles the wall columns into the dining area. Most notable is the India-imported, Madura Gold (golden brown) Granite counter tops (www.maduragold.com) that underscore the “Wow!” factor of the house.
A swinging doorway takes you to the formal dining room via the butler pantry (with its original cabinets and a built-in hutch). The butler pantry includes a converted inner pantry serving as a washer-dryer closet and is hidden behind folding doors.
