The house underwent a complete renovation in 2017, changing the floor plans, adding additional square footage to the downstairs and a complete second floor. This include all new electrical, plumbing, energy saving windows, tankless water heater, and insulation. All appliances are new and energy saving.

Large living room about 24’ x 12’ in size with plantation shutters on each window. Throughout the house, during the renovation we reutilized many old parts of the house and new parts were made to mirror the craftsman bungalow style the house originally was built with. The house has several pocket doors, most made with the original shaker style doors that came in the house in 1923. Window and door molding and floorboards are the same from 1923. Several electrical plugs in the kitchen and master bedroom are USB capable.
The has ample granite countertop space with floor to ceiling tile. The cooktop is a gas Wolf range. The rest of the appliances are GE Café, with French door oven. The house has a gas tankless water tank, that helps save on monthly energy bills.
Two zone central air and heat system, with basement and first floor on one zone, upstairs on another.
On the main floor off the living room and kitchen is an office / spare bedroom with a full-size Murphy bed built into the wall. The hallway leading from the kitchen to living room hosts the stairs (upstairs and to the basement), a half bath, and a walk-in pantry with a Murphy door.
Main level has hardwood floors throughout, second floor carpet and tile.
Upstairs hosts a master bedroom (14’x14’) with a walk-in closet and large master bath (with floor to ceiling tile). Two spare bedrooms (each 12’x12’) each bedroom have two closets and a large storage room behind the closets). A full bath outside both bedrooms near the laundry closet.

The house has a shared driveway with the neighbor that can hold three small cars or two large cars on our side of the driveway. A small storage shed is in the driveway for use (this is mounted to where it is and should not be moved).
Fenced in backyard with small deck and large patio. Built in Cal Flame gas grill, bar, and refrigerator; complete with electrical outlets built. Firepit in corner of patio, and a small tree house for kids.
In addition to the entire house having all new plumbing, in 2018 the utility company, WSSC, updated the original 1929 public utility pipes installing all new water and sewage pipes that connect to this house and all other neighborhood houses and the drainage pipes to the public sewer connection in the street.
Yard service provided includes grass cutting every two weeks in the spring and summer, mulching in the spring, leaf removal in the fall, and gutter cleaning twice a year.
House is a little over a mile from the Takoma Metro stop on the red line, and five blocks from a future purple line stop. At each corner of the street are bus stops for the 25, 12, and 13 buses. Sligo Creek Parkway and trail (which closes on weekends for pedestrians and bicyclists use only) is at the end of the street, and a short walk to Washington Adventist University.

Because we are moving back to the DC area we are only looking to lease the house for 10 or 11 months MAX.
