NAS Key West is on Boca Chica Key, the second-to-last major island in the Florida Keys. However, the naval station has a couple of annexes in Key West within a ten-minute drive from the base. NAS Key West is located in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. There are gorgeous reefs and opportunities to explore ocean life at the sanctuary.
