The Mountain Warfare Training Center (MWTC) is a United States Marine Corps installation located in Bridgeport on California State Route 108 in the Toiyabe National Forest, 20 miles south of Coleville, CA.
The South Lake Tahoe area is a short drive away. Nevada cities near the MWTC include Carson City, and Gardnerville, NV. Though the base is remote, it is surrounded by 100 campgrounds located within a 50-mile radius with some of California’s finest fishing with nearby Topaz Lake and the Walker River.
Yosemite National Park is just a day trip away.
