Where you’ll be reporting for duty at Quantico will best help you determine where to live. If you’ll be working on the south end near the MCX and commissary, you may want  to look for a home in Stafford. Although you’ll be traveling with the rush-hour traffic, your proximity to base should offset the inconvenience.

If you’ll be on the north side near the main gate, look for property in Triangle, Dumfries, or even Woodbridge. You can afford to live a few more miles off base when you look north because your drive will be against most commuters. The same is true if you’re headed to the other side of Quantico for training or to be an instructor.
