Ideal home for military family located in a quiet neighborhood just outside the Washington Beltway. Easy access to many military bases and Regan National Airport, most by streets that avoid rush hour traffic. Across street from elementary school, middle and high schools nearby, all excellent Fairfax County public schools. Fort Belvoir modern hospital, PX, and Commissary only 11 miles via roads that avoid rush hour traffic. Fantastic single family home in quiet, Kerrybrooke neighborhood features 4BR 3BA with new floors on both main & lower levels, fresh paint inside out, 2 wood burning fireplaces, open kitchen -dining room with large window & skylight that provide abundant natural light- Stainless Steel appliances, Silestone Quartz Counter, new French doors that open to new deck with beautiful view/landscaping. NO HOA. *Water Heater-2018, *HVAC-2015, *Disposal-2020, Beat the rush hour traffic. Easy & convenient access to the military installations in the DC/MD/VA area. Located close to two Metro stations with quick access to I-95. Bus stop at corner of Franconia and Clermont.I bought the house in 1982 because of its great location. While my military friends had to fight the rush hour traffic on I-95, I had a quick, relaxed drive to the various places I was assigned in the area. When I was stationed away from the DC area, I was able to quickly rent it for more than my mortgage payments. My last assignment was in the area. I returned to the house and lived there from then and during my retirement. I operated a small consulting business for 30 years out of the large den and large bedroom of the first floor. Fairfax County granted me a business license to have up to two non-family persons working at my business. The den, just inside the front door, made an excellent reception/meeting/conference room and the adjacent bedroom made a spacious three-person office. This time I moved away only because I am 78, am handicapped, and needed a one-story house. The house has been completely renovated and updated throughout. I love the skylight in the kitchen and the big window over the kitchen sink overlooking the deck and back yard, so I could see my children/grandchildren playing there. The GE Advantium Speedcook oven I installed over the kitchen stove made cooking super fast. My kids loved the laundry chute from the master bedroom to the utility room. Never any problem getting them to put their dirty clothes there. l will miss the very peaceful, friendly neighborhood, the excellent schools close by, and the neighborhood association meetings with all my civilian and military friends. It is the best of the best, a friendly neighborhood association run by all the neighbors, no HOA, no dues, just friends working together. With Lee District Recreation Center and Park only 2.3 miles away, it was so convenient to jog there, work out on their equipment, swim in the large pool, use the hot tub, and jog back home.
