Our home is located in Old Town Village, an award winning community in historic Old Town Alexandria. Our initial attraction was its location on one of the beautiful landscaped courtyards and just steps away from the community center. Walking inside this 3 bedroom, 3 ½ bath, end townhome, we were pleased by the spacious, light-filled, open floor plan, and happy to see the light created by the tall ceilings, lovely built-ins, beautiful moldings and gleaming hardwood floors. There is also lots of storage, 2 gas fireplaces that provide warmth and charm and a two-car garage, a rarity in Old Town.
Adjacent to the elegant living room is a huge deck that is perfect for entertaining, grilling, growing herbs or just relaxing. The fireplace in the living room is flanked by beautiful built-in bookshelves with ample storage. The chef's kitchen is cheerful and bright with granite countertops, brand new, top –of- the line stainless steel appliances, generous cabinets, a pantry and an eat in breakfast area. The two bay windows, one in the dining room, and the other in the master bedroom provide light and additional space. The laundry is conveniently located on the bedroom level.
