Welcome to Fort A. P. Hill!

Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia provides an all-purpose year-round training area for everything from small operations to intensive missions. It’s no wonder that Fort A.P. Hill is known as the place “Where America’s Military Sharpens its Combat Edge."

Fort A.P. Hill was established in 1941 after the War Plans Division of Army General Staff decided that the military needed a space large enough to train millions of men to fight in the European and Pacific theaters simultaneously. Situated in Virginia near the Potomac River, Fort A.P. Hill was built.
