Selling a home is an enormous task in itself. And as military families, we don’t always have ample time to prepare for our next move making the enormous task of selling a home all the more daunting. If you find yourself needing to sell your home in a hurry, there are some things you should be aware of.

For Part 1 of this two-part series we want to share two common mistakes home sellers make when selling their home.

1. Neglecting repairs. When you’re in a rush you likely feel pressure to cut corners. Neglecting repairs in the home, even small things, like leaky faucets, chipped paint, or overgrown yards can not only make it harder to find potential buyers but also lead to a lower sale price.

2. Mispricing your home. Knowing your market and consulting a professional can help you avoid both overpricing and underpricing your home. You should always see which local listings are comparable to your home and value your home accordingly.
