Privatized military housing is available in the New Orleans area at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse, LA and at The Village at Federal City in Algiers, LA,  location of the former Naval Support Activity New Orleans. Both military housing communities welcome Active Military, Retirees, Reservists, and DoD Civilians.  Housing is managed by Patrician Military Housing, The Village – (866) 751-8472. The Marine Forces Reserve headquarted in New Orleans is located at the north edge of the New Orleans Naval Station in Belle Chasse, LA, just south of downtown New Orleans and Algiers, LA.  Nearby cities include Terrytown, Gretna, Harvey, and Marrero to name a few.  Within a 5 mile radius of Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters is the USCG Sector New Orleans faciity.
