The Rock Island Arsenal is located on Arsenal Island (originally known as Rock Island).  The island comprises 946 acres and is located on the Mississippi River, between the cities of Davenport, Iowa, and Rock Island, Illinois.  Iowan cities near Rock Island Arsenal include Davenport and Bettendorf, while cities on the Illinois side include Rock Island and Moline.  The city of Geneseo, IL lies east of the Arsenal within 20 miles or so.
