USCG Sector Lake Michigan or Coast Guard Milwaukee, is located just south of downtown Milwaukee, WI, off Highway 794 just below Jones Island.  The facility lies near to the Wisconsin entrance to the Lake Express Ferry over Lake Michigan from Wisconsin to Michigan.  South of USCG Sector Lake Michigan by about 5 miles, lies the General Mitchell International Airport and the Wisconsin Air National Guard's 128th Air Refueling Wing.  Several neighborhoods are located near the Coast Guard Milwaukee facility to include Bay View and Fernwood, and the city of St Francis on the Shores of Lake Michigan.  Inland by just a mile or two are the neighborhoods of Tippicanoe, Morgandale, Lincoln Village, Oak Park, and  Mitchell Park.
