Peterson SFB is also home to Space Delta 1 with 111 mission partners at both Peterson and Cheyenne Mountain Air Force station. Peterson was the previous home of the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), which was deactivated and absorbed by the newly formed U.S. Space Force in Washington, D.C. USSF will maintain a critical command element at Peterson, composed of staff from the former AFSPC headquarters.

Peterson SFB is located at 667 Ent Ave, Peterson SFB, CO, 80914, adjacent to and east of Colorado Springs off US Highway 24. If you continue on US 24 heading northeast, you will reach Falcon, CO in approximately 11 miles and then Peyton, CO at around 20 miles northeast of the base. Schriever SFB is about 13 miles east of Peterson SFB and Fort Carson sits just to the south of the base.

The military housing in Tierra Vista is operated by the Winn Companies and Lend Lease. Nearly 700 homes boast open concept living and a variety of 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom floor plans.
