    Camp Blanding Joint Training Center is the primary military reservation and training base for the Florida National Guard, Army and certain non-flying activities of the Air National Guard. The facility serves a wide range of customers, including all components of the U.S. military, international forces, federal and state law enforcement agencies and others. The site measures about 73,000 acres and includes Kingsley Lake. Camp Blanding is also home to the Camp Blanding Museum and Memorial Park.

    Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is an installation of the U.S.Air Force Space Command's 45th Space Wing headquartered at nearby Patrick AFB and is the primary launch head of America's Eastern Range with four launch pads currently active. The Navy's Pensacola Naval Air Station is located nearby to the south.

    Duke Field, also known as Eglin AFB Auxiliary Field #3, is a military airport located at Eglin AFB. It is primarily an Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) installation and is hosted by the 919th Special Operations Wing (SOW). As an AFRC unit, the 919 SOW is operationally gained by the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), headquartered at nearby Hurlburt Field.

Also noteworthy at Hurlburt Field is the 823rd Red Horse Squadron, a heavy civil engineering construction unit that is self-contained and can rapidly deploy to support U.S. forces around the world.

    Naval Air Station Key West, FL is the U.S. Navy's premier training station for tactical aviation squadrons and has great weather and air space in which to train. Also located at the air station is the Naval Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Detachment. This office provides forecasting services 7 days a week from 0530 hrs to 1730 hrs, however, forecasting services do become available around the clock if weather conditions warrant.

Twenty-four ships are presently berthed in the Mayport basin, including four AEGIS guided-missile cruisers, six destroyers and nine guided-missile frigates and the aircraft carrier USS JOHN F. KENNEDY.Due to the composition of the station, it is capable of accommodating 34 ships and has an 8,000-foot runway capable of handling most any aircraft in the Department of Defense inventory.
