Base Location:

The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) is located along Rockville Pike in Bethesda, MD at the former Bethesda National Naval Medical Center and newly named for its joining with the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center which was previously located approximately 7 miles away. Silver Spring and North Chevy Chase, College Park, and Bowie, MD are just to the east of the Medical center, while Kensington, North Bethesda, Rockville, Derwood, Gaithersburg, Germantown and Clarksburg, MD are to the north. In Nothern Virginia, McLean, Falls Church and Arlington, along with Washington D.C. lie to the south of the facility.
