Base Location:

The Coast Guard facility in Alameda is located on Coast Guard Island which lies in the Oakland Estuary between Oakland and Alameda, California. San Francisco is right across the bay to the west and can be reached via the Bay Bridge in around a 20 minute drive. The Air Force's Travis AFB is located about 55 miles to the north and slightly east of Coast Guard Island.
