Base Location:

The Naval Medical Center San Diego is located in the midst of Balboa Park, a 1,200-acre urban cultural park in San Diego, California. East of the base are the cities of Lemon Grove, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside and finally Alpine, CA, which is just under 30 miles away. To the south are National City and Coronado, and to the west is Ocean Beach at about 7 miles distance. Northwest of the Medical Center are Pacific Beach and La Jolla, CA at around 15 miles distance from the Medical Center.
