Naval Base Kitsap is a U.S. Navy base located on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State. It was created in 2004 by merging Naval Station Bremerton with the Naval Submarine Base Bangor. The city center of Bremerton, WA lies about 17 miles south of Bangor, WA. Just to the south of the Bremerton facility across the Puget Sound is the city of Port Orchard, WA. Continuing about 23 miles south from Port Orchard, you will reach Gig Harbor, WA. Also to the south of the Bremerton facility and along the waters edge, is the city center of Olalla, WA at about 15 miles distance.
