Base Location

Naval Base Kitsap is a U.S. Navy base located on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State. It was created in 2004 by merging the former Naval Station Bremerton with the Naval Submarine Base Bangor. The city center of Bangor, WA lies about 17 miles north and slightly west of the city center of Bremmerton, WA. The cities of Poulsbo, Suquamish and Bainbridge Island all lie nearby to the east of the installation, while the city of Silverdale, WA is midway between the facilities at Bangor and the facilites at Bremerton. Bainbridge Island lies midway between the facilites to the east and at the Puget Sound's waters edge.
