Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) Coronado is located on Silver Strand, CA, a narrow strip of land that connects what is known as Coronado Island, where the North Island NAS is located, to the city of Imperial Beach, CA. A short drive from Coronado NAB will take you east, across the bay to San Diego and the San Diego Naval Base. Once across the bay, National City and Chula Vista are south and slightly east by about 8 and 11 miles distance.
