Gunter Annex falls under the command of Maxwell AFB and is now known as Maxwell Gunter AFB.  The installation is located on the western side of the northeast suburbs of Montgomery, Alabama and is about 4 miles NE from the city center of Montgomery.  The city center of Prattville, AL lies around 12 miles to the northwest, with the city of Millbrook about the same distance away but to the northeast.  If you continue on to the east, you will reach the town of Wetumpka, approximately 25 miles from the base.
